BATESVILLE – October 16, 2012 – The Citizens Bank is providing 7,000 red bracelets to help all students in the Batesville, Cave City, Cedar Ridge, Midland and Southside School districts observe Red Ribbon Week, October 23-31.  The bracelets are inscribed with the phrase, “Drug Free and Proud to Be.”

BATESVILLE – October 15, 2012 – Lorrie McClure, who coordinates the “Parents As Teachers” program at the Batesville Early Learning and Enrichment Center, was named today as the October recipient of the Citizens Bank Above & Beyond Award.  Citizens Bank and the Batesville School District created the award to recognize school staff members who go “above and beyond” in their service to the district. 

Citizens for Downtown Batesville Provides Grant to Help Replace Schwegman’s Awning

BATESVILLE – November 1, 2012 – With the help of the Citizens for Downtown Batesville (CFDB) program, Schwegman’s Office Supply was recently able to replace the awning in front of their building.

Citizens Bank in 2011 created CFDB, a funding program designed to complement efforts to revitalize the historic downtown area of Batesville.  

Citizens Bank Sets Roger Bennett Memorial Concert For Saturday, October 13

BATESVILLE – September 25, 2012 – The Citizens Bank today announced that the gospel group Legacy Five will headline the Seventh Annual Roger Bennett Memorial Concert, which is scheduled for 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, in Independence Hall on the campus of the University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville.

Tickets, which are $20 each, will be available at all Citizens Bank branches.  Churches that want to sell tickets in advance can contact James Street at 870-613-7463.  Tickets will also be available at the door.

Citizens Bank Trust Department Rises to No. 12 Among All Banks in Arkansas

BATESVILLE – September 25, 2012 – The Citizens Bank has the twelfth largest Trust Department in Arkansas, according to a just-published Arkansas Business list, which was based on bank trust assets as of Dec. 31, 2011.  Citizens Bank jumped up three spots from its No. 15 ranking the previous year.

All of the state’s institutions with trust assets larger than Citizens Bank serve multiple markets that are much larger than the communities served by Citizens Bank.

BATESVILLE – August 13, 2012 – The Second Annual Citizens Bank Education Initiative Awards banquet was held Monday, August 13, at Elizabeth’s Restaurant in Batesville. Karen Shaw, Senior Vice President of Citizens Bank, and Batesville Schools Superintendent Dr. Randy Willison announced the recipients of $15,000 in grant money to fund teachers’ projects, as selected by the Lyon College Education Committee.
