Citizens Bank, Midland Schools honor Helen Huskey for 'Shining Like a Mustang'

Helen Huskey, Custodian at Midland Elementary, was named Monday to receive the November “Citizens Bank Shine Like a Mustang Award.”

With this new program, Citizens Bank and Midland School District aim to recognize staff members who shine in their role as a Mustang to live out the district’s vision to engage learning at high levels and embrace challenges without fear of failure. Staff nominate the award recipients who receive a Certificate of Excellence, a $25 gift card, and a 16-ounce insulated cup from Citizens Bank. The award is presented at the Midland School Board meeting each month.

Exemplifying hard work and dedication, Helen is highly appreciate for all that she does to help keep Midland Elementary clean and safe for students.

“Ms. Helen is the most phenomenal custodian,” said a fellow staff member. “She takes extreme pride in her work and never stops working.”
