Citizens Bank, Batesville Schools honor Courtney Wallace for going ‘Above & Beyond’

Courtney Wallace, Guidance Counselor at Batesville High School Charter, was named Monday to receive the September “Citizens Bank Above & Beyond Award.”
Since 2012, Citizens Bank and the Batesville School District have recognized staff members who go “above and beyond” to realize the district’s mission to empower today's students for tomorrow's challenges. Staff in all schools and departments throughout the district nominate award recipients, who receive a Certificate of Excellence, a $25 gift card and a 16-ounce insulated cup from Citizens Bank. The award is presented at the Batesville School Board meeting each month.
Courtney’s peers have much to say about the love, care, and commitment she has for her students and fellow staff. It is evident in the time she invests in encouraging and helping others. Her colleagues said:
- “Courtney always has a smile on her face and so much joy in her heart. She puts in so much time and never complains. Courtney will take time for anyone who needs her. You can tell she truly cares about her job, students, and co-workers. I am thankful to work with someone who is as kind, caring, and professional as Courtney.”
- “Courtney is always present for students. When they are talking to her, you can see that she is really listening to what they are saying. She has a passion for our students and their well-being. Courtney is awesome!”
- “Courtney takes being a counselor to another level. She loves her students more than any other counselor I’ve ever worked with. She also loves to cultivate relationships with teachers as well. She goes out of her way to make teachers know they are loved and appreciated. She goes above and beyond her duties as a counselor and it does not go unnoticed.”
