In a display of patriotism and community spirit, the 27th annual Citizens Bank Celebrate America event, held on July 4th at Riverside Park, Batesville, was a booming success. The Independence County tradition, proudly hosted each year by Citizens Bank and presented by Sonic Drive-In, drew families and friends together for a day brimming with festivities. The White River's scenic backdrop set the stage for an array of activities, from the area’s best local food and fun offerings to exciting giveaways, culminating in a live musical lineup.
Host Chad Whitaker of White River Now kicked the evening's entertainment off followed by the dynamic performances of Triple Nickel with Congressman Rick Crawford and headliner Cory Jackson, which set the perfect tone for the night's highlight. As dusk fell, the sky was lit by one of the largest fireworks displays in Arkansas.
Micah Beard, regional president of Citizens Bank, expressed heartfelt gratitude towards the event's sponsors, whose support and generosity were pivotal in orchestrating such a grand celebration. "It's a joy to witness our community come together to honor our nation's independence in what has become one of the most anticipated events in the state," Beard remarked.
The event's success was made possible by the collective efforts of numerous local sponsors, including Sonic Drive-In, White River Now, AM Pyrotechnics, LLC, Bad Boy Mowers, Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce, Bishop Auto Clinic, The City of Batesville, Crye-Leike Batesville Real Estate Center Inc, FARCO, FutureFuel Chemical Company, Hampton Inn by Hilton, Independence County Farm Bureau, Lifeplus, Mark Martin Ford and Kia, Peco Foods, Inc., Smith Farms and WoodCo, Inc Railroad Contractors, Southland Trucking, University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville, and White River Health.
