Swearengin promoted to vice president of commercial lending at Citizens Bank

Citizens Bank announces the promotion of Dakota Swearengin, who joined the team in November 2020. Swearengin has been appointed vice president of commercial lending. In his previous role as assistant vice president and commercial loan officer, he demonstrated skills well-fit for this new position.
“Dakota is a team-player and his contributions to the growth of the northwest Arkansas market are remarkable,” said Nathan Harris, Fayetteville city president at the Bank. “His helpful, positive attitude has made a tremendous impact on our organization, and his work ethic and job performance have proved he is ready to take on more responsibility and expand his role.”
Swearengin will assume a strategic role in shaping the commercial lending division, driving profitable growth, and maintaining the pristine asset quality of the bank’s loan portfolio. "As a commercial lender, I have a platform to be part of the growth in Northwest Arkansas by taking care of the banking needs of its local people and businesses,” Swearengin said. “I'm excited to expand on existing relationships and build new ones in my role as vice president."
Before coming to Citizens Bank, Swearengin worked at Bank OZK, climbing up the ranks as a teller all the way to consumer/small business lender in just four years. Swearengin is a graduate of Leadership Fayetteville Class XXXVI, a program of the Greater Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce. Additionally, he is an active member of the Habitat for Humanity Construction Committee in Washington County. Swearengin and his wife Cailey live in Lowell.
“Please join me in congratulating Dakota on his promotion,” Harris added. “I look forward to witnessing his continued growth and success.”
