Citizens Bank breaks ground for new Malvern Avenue branch in Hot Springs
Citizens Bank, headquartered in Batesville, broke ground for its newest branch site on Malvern Avenue in Hot Springs during a ceremony held on Aug. 24, 2022. Bank leadership, staff and local officials gathered at the construction site to demonstrate a collaborative commitment to growth in the Hot Springs market and mark important milestones for the bank.
“One of the cornerstones of Citizens is our People First Culture. We make every decision with our customers, our associates and our communities in mind,” said Adam Mitchell, President and CEO at Citizens Bank. “Today, Citizens Bank now exceeds $1.2 billion in assets with 19 banking centers throughout the state.”
Mitchell spoke alongside Citizens' Hot Springs city president, Josh Baker.

Citizens Bank history,” said Josh Baker, city president. “We are dedicated to investing in and serving this market and I’m honored to be part of this team.”
Other notable attendees included Jeff Teague, Chairman and CEO of Citizens Bancshares; Bruce Westerman, U.S. Congressman for the 4th District (represented by Brendan Spaulding); Senator Tom Cotton represented by David Rider; Steve Trusty, Hot Springs City Director - District 6; Bill Burrough, Hot Springs City Manager; Steve Arrison, CEO of Visit Hot Springs and Gary Troutman, President and CEO of Greater Hot Springs Chamber of Commerce.
