Beyond a Banker - Charolette Royal
I received an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Accounting from Gateway Technical College (UACCB).
I worked in another bank for 3 years, and I’ve been with Citizens for 13 years.
Vice President / Corporate Trust Officer
What should your job title be (if it was hilariously accurate to what you do every day)?
Struggling Juggler
Honestly, I just needed a job. And I wanted to be able to use the skills and knowledge I had.
I think a lot of people don’t understand the complexities we encounter in the Trust Department. It’s unlike anything I’ve ever done. Corporate Trust is fairly straightforward, but Personal Trust is a whole other ballgame. Every account is very different.
Mostly just being a good person. I try to take care of my customers to the best of my ability. Sometimes that means just giving them someone to talk to. I also think it’s important to be involved in our communities - to try make them a better place for the next generations.
My grandbabies, my kids and my friends and family. I love camping and kayaking – even just sitting at the river with friends.
Most every Friday night is spent with at least one of my Grandbabies. Occasionally I try to wrangle all of them. This spring I purchased some bees and am trying to learn to be a beekeeper. I love to work in my yard and spend time at/on the river. I’m also involved with our Community Events so about 4 or 5 times a year we have activities going on in town. (Evening Shade)
This past winter, I watched the entire series of “What About Saul”. I’m currently waiting on the new season of Virgin River. I also watch a lot of PBS Kids! LOL
Anytime I have my babies, kids, friends, or family around. And I’d rather be somewhere on the river than anywhere else.
Fred’s Fish House – Fish Dinner (fried!) or a Chicken Tater from Cowboys.
I love to quilt. I don’t get to do it as much as I’d like, but I love to do it.
Working at a grocery store in Evening Shade.
We’re all Family
That my career would be in banking!
