BATESVILLE – November 1, 2012 – With the help of the Citizens for Downtown Batesville (CFDB) program, Schwegman’s Office Supply was recently able to replace the awning in front of their building.

Citizens Bank in 2011 created CFDB, a funding program designed to complement efforts to revitalize the historic downtown area of Batesville.

CFDB is a source of financial assistance to encourage downtown property and business owners to improve their properties.  The grant program provides matching funds of 75 percent – up to a maximum of $1,500 – for any qualifying project.

The grant program established by Citizens Bank has resulted in several successful applications. Schwegman’s Office Supply replaced their awnings and received $1,500 to offset some of their costs.

For more information regarding CFDB, contact Paula Grimes, Executive Director, Main Street Batesville at 870-793-4632 or visit them at 108 West Main Street in Batesville.
