Citizens Bank, Batesville Schools Honor Regina Forehand As November ‘Above & Beyond’ Award Recipient
BATESVILLE – November 15, 2012 – Regina Forehand, a guidance counselor at West Magnet Elementary School, was named today as the November recipient of the Citizens Bank Above & Beyond Award. Citizens Bank and the Batesville School District created the award this year to recognize school staff members who go “above and beyond” in their service to the district.
Personnel throughout all schools nominate prospective recipients of the monthly award, which includes a certificate from the Board of Education and a $50 gift card from Citizens Bank.
“Regina believes in and sees the ‘good’ in children,” according to one nomination of Ms. Forehand. “She was instrumental in the organization of Coordinated Care Network, Tutors Inc. and participates in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program. All of these organizations support children and families. Regina is a true blessing to the students at West.”
Ms. Forehand last year implemented Tutors Inc., a program designed to help sixth grade students develop leadership and study skills while helping students in Kindergarten through third grade learn math facts and improve their reading fluency.
Doug Lynch, Citizens Bank Executive Vice President and Chief Lending Officer, was scheduled to present the awards to Ms. Forehand.
