Citizens Bank, Batesville Schools Honor Karla Johnson As September ‘Above & Beyond’ Award Recipient
BATESVILLE – September 16, 2013 – Karla Johnson, a Due Process/APSCN Clerk (Arkansas Public School Computer Network) in the Special Programs Office, was named today as the September recipient of the “Citizens Bank Above & Beyond Award.”
Citizens Bank and the Batesville School District created the award to recognize school staff members who go “above and beyond” in their service to the district. Personnel throughout all schools nominate recipients of the monthly Above & Beyond award, which includes a certificate from the Board of Education and a $50 gift card from Citizens Bank.
Recommendations for Ms. Johnson consistently mentioned her dedication to the needs and progress of the Special Education students. Sample comments included:
- “Karla is our ‘go to’ person to answer all our paperwork questions. She stays late and works weekends. She holds us all together.”
- “Karla always ‘problem solves’ to find the best solution for our students and helps with all our mounds of paperwork. I couldn’t do my job without her.”
- “With unexpected circumstances, Karla monitors and adjusts to address any paperwork issues and does everything in her power to help the teachers.”
