Citizens Bank Awards Scholarships
BATESVILLE, Ark. – August 17, 2012 – Citizens Bank of Batesville today announced the recipients of three additional college scholarships as part of the bank’s continuing commitment to higher education.
Verlinda Cullum of Newark accepted the $1,000 Citizens Bank UACCB Scholarship, which is awarded annually to a student at the University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville who is seeking an Associate Degree in Business. Verlinda is currently working toward an Associate Arts degree in Business Administration.
Two graduates from Batesville High School – Alen Richardson and Spencer Hopper – each received $500 T.G. Vinson Scholarships, which are awarded each year to the children of Citizens Bank employees.
Alen is the son of Ronald and Deborah Richardson and Crystal Wojcik, all of Batesville. Deborah is the Electronic Banking Supervisor at Citizens Bank. Alen plans to attend Arkansas State University at Jonesboro.
Spencer is the son of Lindy Hopper and Troy Hopper, both of Batesville. Lindy is a Loan Assistant at Citizens Bank. Spencer is planning to attend the University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville.
