BATESVILLE – August 9, 2013 – Stephen H. Martens has joined Citizens Bank as Senior Vice President and Senior Commercial Loan Officer, according to John Dews, President and Chief Executive Officer. Martens will be responsible for servicing a commercial loan portfolio, developing new business, and performing general lending activities.
“We welcome Steve as the latest addition to our impressive team of talented banking professionals who are dedicated to supporting our market areas,” Dews said. “Steve’s experience and leadership in banking fortifies what already was a strong Citizens Bank Lending Department.”
Martens has more than 25 years of experience in the banking industry, and most recently served as Senior Credit Officer for First National Bank of Crossett. He previously had held executive positions with banks in Arkansas and Oklahoma.
He attended Tulsa Community College before he received a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Avco University in Aurora, Colo. He has graduated from numerous banking industry schools.
Martens is active in civic and social organizations, including Rotary Club and Ducks Unlimited. He has served as Associate Pastor and has chaired the Finance Committee at his church. He and his wife, Kristy, have two children: Amy, 24, and Kody, 21.
